>>305982>If something is not explicitly against the law, then it is legal. Lolicon is one of those gray areas because nobody has ever challenged its legal status.Well let me paraphrase:
Any person who knowingly possesses a visual depiction of any kind, including a drawing or cartoon, that depicts a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and is obscene, or epicts an image that is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in sexual intercourse and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value shall be subject to the penalties provided in section 2252A (b)(2)
If I had a doujinshi of a little girl having sexual intercourse, then surely I am subject to those penalties (a fine or up to 10 years imprisonment)?
This is just one part of the law. Obviously people get arrested for photographs too, does that not confirm the law? Does every combination have to be tried and questioned before it counts as illegal?
Two people have been arrested for doing what I just paraphrased. Yet you say it is illegal?
Furthermore, even if nobody has ever broken a law, does that mean it is legal to do so? For example, if there was a law that said, "It is an offense to possess a nuclear bomb," then is keeping a nuclear bomb in my bedroom legal?
